Current laser skin treatments are creating exciting new job opportunities in the world of skin care technology. Utah has recently passed legislation that allows estheticians to use lasers while under the direct supervision of a physician. Master estheticians are now permitted to use lasers under general supervision. Direct supervision is defined as when a physician is on site, where as under general supervision, the physician is not necessarily present, but available for assistance by phone.
This new laser education will be a part of the SkinScience curriculum under Medical Aesthetics Laser Training. This training will greatly increase each student's level of success in the industry by broadening his/her esthetic abilities. |
